some fun in the midst of our daily grind...

So much of our life is serious stuff... i guess this is what happens when you get a little burnt out on reality :)!!

Meet The Kulps

I've realized many of my readers are new since we committed to Shea...so let me introduce the family!

Dan and I married in 2004. He is a speaker/singer/youth leader. I am a physical therapist.

When he proposed, I asked him a question before I said yes...."we can adopt children right?" He said yes, and so did I!

By 2007 we brought home our first love - Simon who we adopted from China. My time living in China as a medical missionary changed my life forever and orchestrated the future of my family. He was 3 years old at the time. We are told that he quite possibly was the first child with Down Syndrome that China allowed to be adopted out of the country except for one to neighboring Hong Kong. Our Simon may not be able to speak yet, but he has moved mountains in China...look at how many are on RR now! Thank you God!

By 2009 we brought Danielle home. She was 7. She has taught us how to roll with the punches! We were told she had DS also, but once home we realized it was something quite different. Genetic testing showed 9p- or Alfi's syndrome...only about 125 cases in the US. This girl gets us laughing every day, and boy does she have personality.

Now to Shea....we weren't really planning to adopt again quite yet....but oh those eyes... and this PT mommy just couldn't resist. Here we go again sweet boy!

Hmmm, 2 weeks after we signed papers to adopt shea....we found out the stork made a surprise visit! Shea came home to us on July 1st of 2011. Emily entered our world on August 31st!
